Measure from the support to the lowest ornament
Use the total hanging length rather than the length of the tubes alone. Our Ghost Wind Chime is 36 inches from the top hook to the bottom ghost. Mark that distance with a tape measure at the proposed support and check what sits below it. The Pumpkin is a different product; do not assume it has the same dimensions. Allow space for movement and everyday use
Check nearby windows, door swings, walls, furniture and other hanging items. A decoration that fits while still may reach a surface when it moves. Choose a position clear of faces, shoulders and the normal walking route, and check the view from both sides of a doorway. There is no single hanging height that suits every porch or room: the layout and full length determine the space you need.
